Who We are?
Almería Farms is a small, independent grower in Ventura, California. Strawberries and blueberries, grown organically on one operation.
Paco (Francisco Flores) started Almería Farms because he wanted to run something of his own. Strawberries and blueberries made sense for the same reason they make sense for a lot of growers in this area. Ventura’s coastal climate suits both crops well. Going organic wasn’t a branding decision; it’s simply where the market demand is.
That’s the whole story so far. We’re a young operation, and we’d rather tell you that plainly than dress it up. What we can tell you with certainty is how we grow: 100% organic, no conventional acreage, one grower you can actually talk to.

Every strawberry and blueberry we grow at Almería Farms is certified organic. There’s no conventional acreage here, so there’s no risk of organic and conventional fruit getting mixed up in the same operation. That covers 100% of what we grow, not just part of it, so whether you’re placing a one-time order or setting up an ongoing account, every case carries the same organic status.
We also hold a PrimusGFS food safety certification — the same kind of third-party audit larger retail buyers typically ask for before they’ll place an order. If you’d rather see how we handle your fruit yourself, farm visits are something we do regularly, not a special exception. And if a quality question ever came up with a specific lot, we can trace it back to exactly where it came from.
